Why?

I see that girl,

the one with a mole under her eye;

I see her daily,

walking through the doors of a stressful life;

She is strong,

I like to think so!

Coz she never gives up,

even after being intimidated by those creatures.

She is continuously judged by society,

by the clothes that she wears,

and the responsibilities that she bears;

She never shows the pain she goes through….

Instead she stands there quietly with a smile on her face,

like nothing has happened even after she had been disgraced;

The question is, that WHY,

WHY, is she oppressed by the society or by the people of opposite gender?

Is it just because she is a girl?

She is a human being too, just like all of us!

But every time,

every time she is treated like an object who doesn’t belong with us.

WHY is there so much hate!?

WHY is there so much constraint!?

Let her also fly!

Let her open up her wings and touch the skyline.

Coz after all, she is also one of us,

given birth by the one and only almighty who stands above all of us.

So let’s pledge today,

that we human beings will let her fly,

and let her roam freely,

without being judged;

Coz after all she is just a girl,

who deserves to live among all of us.
